Java Developer This is an opportunity to leverage your existing Java knowledge and experience to become involved in the enhancement and continuous improvement of a high performance low latency Front Office equities trading system. Working within an Agile environment you would be involved the re-engineering and simplification of existing code. Domain experience does not matter - it is far more important that you have a systems engineering background and that you have 2-3 years commercial experience of Java development. We are particularly interested in Java JSE developers who have experience in multi-threaded development and have used Spring and Hibernate. You will be expected to proactively work through all aspects of the project life cycle, performing technical analysis, estimation, design, development, unit testing and system testing in order to produce high quality deliverables. You will also be expected to help the team improve development tools to increase efficiency. The interview process will focus upon programming fundamentals, technical skills and competencies, though we will also look for a good general knowledge of the economy and the role of financial services.
