Java Developer Main Function The role is to work as a developer as part of a team focusing on the ongoing migration of the Treasury business to the T0PL platform. The initial project will focus on adding accrual accounting to T0PL for swaps and bonds. This will require Java, XML and Oracle SQL skills and will involve interaction with a project manager and business analyst and other developers in multiple regions, as well as the testing and release teams to analyse, implement, test and release the appropriate changes to the system. T0PL is a complex, mature system so the work will require a detailed understanding of both T0PL itself and the business process along with strong technical skills. The role is an excellent opportunity to be part of a front office facing IT team working on a critical, complex platform and to learn the Rates business and its products. Main Duties Tasks will include: development, testing, merging, configuring, release and subsequent 2nd line support. The candidate must be flexible in handling several work items at the same time and managing changing requirements. Working closely with colleagues in Pune, London, Tokyo, and New York will be essential to ensure the best solution is delivered in a timely fashion by sharing components and experience; the candidate will also need to work with external teams in order to co-ordinate and drive the implementation and delivery of items.
