Java Developer - Large Scale Greenfield Project My client is a hugely successful online insurance broker, based in Central London. The firm is an E-commerce company, which after the phenomenal success of its core next generation product are looking to expand rapidly over the next 18 months, and can offer experienced and talented Java Software Engineers the chance to work on almost exclusively Greenfield work. It is also an opportunity introduce any cutting edge technology you wish, the stack is flexible and evolving with the company. The ideal candidate will have: A solid Computer Science degree from a reputed global university Extensive knowledge of Java technologies and frameworks (eg Spring, Hibernate, Jackrabbit/Alfresco a plus, JEE) Experience of Eclipse, Subversion, Maven, Continuous Build/Integration is required. Desired data bases are Oracle or MySQL Any experience of Development or deployment in a cloud computing environment will be very well received. Knowledge or Interest with any of Ruby, NoSQL, MongoDB, AWS, CouchDB, Scala, Clojure, Erlang will be appreciated. This is an opportunity to work in small, focused teams who adopt Agile methodologies where appropriate but are not slaves to it. They are still a young business but are well funded with an award winning product in the bag, so the future investment is secure. It is important to them that they bring on individuals who can add value to the team and introduce something new, whether it is a technology, process
