MAIL FOR POOR SPEED

Dear Reliance Customer,

Thank you for contacting Reliance Netconnect Broadband+ Customer Care.

In response to your query regarding poor speed, please follow the below steps.

1. Request you to check for the number of signals. (To access the internet you should get minimum gets 3 bars).

2. Select mode (dialler >>> setting >>>network>>mode)) HSD or Cdma1x

3. Check for the operating system. -->Windows Vista, Windows XP Professional/ WIN XP home edition service pack 2 or above is required for XP.

4. Check for the Internet explorer version. ---->Default

5. Check for the cipher strength. ---->Default

6. Install antivirus. "Always use updated version"

7. Disable the firewall of operating system. (if antivirus is installed). Open control panel ---> windows security center -->windows firewall-->"off"

8. Delete temp files, clear histories from Internet explorer on regular basis. Open iexplorer; go to tools-->Internet options-->delete files-->delete cookies, delete histories

9. If using in Non HSD Coverage area and facing speed issue then Install netbooster from www.rcom.co.in.

10. Ping any web sites.

After doing all the above, open a web page. www.google.co.in or any pages you want.

Check speed of net through speedometer {from www.google.co.in >go to search option then type speedometer}

Request you to uninstall and reinstall the Rconnect software once. Download it from www.rcom.co.in.

If still faces problem, check the data card on another system if it works fine, request you to contact the PC vendor for further assistance.
And on another system also faces the same problem, request you to visit the nearest ASC and get the data card checked and collect the job card details.

Further, we would like to inform you that, in real world situation you can expect average speed of 300-500 kbps
Reliance net connect is a shared resource service; the speed will depend on a variety of factors like:
- The number of data users in your area,
- Signal strength available at the time of connection,
- The site you are visiting.
- Your computer configuration.
-Network load, and Internet traffic.
