TCS Background Check and Registration in National Skills Registry (NSR)

This communication is to inform you that we have recently introduced an additional element in our Background Check Policy, registration with National Skills Registry (NSR).

National Skills Registry (NSR), a NASSCOM initiative, aims to create, operate and maintain a national database of employees working in IT/BPO industry in India. NSR registers the information of employees to uniquely identify each one based on bio-metric records. The registry also includes background check (BGC) information of all employees. The registered information helps the industry and its clients to extract or view details of any associate who is considered for employment.

We request you to complete the registration and bio-metric process of NSR before joining ILP. If, under certain circumstances you are not able to complete the registration, the same will be taken care of at the time of joining.

The Registration process in NSR consists of two Parts:
    Part I: Involves filling up of data in NSR site online.
    Part II: Involves registering your finger prints at NSR - POS (Point of Service) for Bio-metric proof. You can check POS details at NSR site.

Please note that no data should be changed in the NSR system after completion of Bio Metrics. This could result in impacting your BGC check negatively.

You need to visit the registration page of the NSR web site, www.nationalskillsregistry.com and fill in your details after reading the instructions (Refer Annexure A). You can also refer (Annexure B) for checklist of documents required at the time of registration.

On updating of the data it will be subject to verification by a TCS appointed BGC agency. Your appointment with TCS could be revoked and /or terminated if any information is found to be false, misleading or deliberately omitted/suppressed.

Kindly ensure that you update the following data in the TCS link (https://nextstep.tcs.com) immediately after completing the NSR Registration process:
    Giving your acceptance on the Declaration wrt NSR
    ITPIN No. provided by NSR
